The debut session of Exposure Therapy features Light Time Delay and ululo, two artists who sculpt sound with precision and patience. Their performance flows effortlessly through vignettes both familiar and unfamiliar—rich in texture yet never over-indulgent, inviting deep listening without demanding it. The world they create feels both intimate and vast, like emerging from deep water into an alien dusk or navigating a cavernous expanse, only to find yourself momentarily reoriented before drifting elsewhere.

Seattle-based Light Time Delay (Théa-Martine Gautier) crafts expansive ambient and microsound works using field recordings, granular synthesis, and custom-built software, evoking a sense of movement and spatial depth.

Montreal’s ululo (Darren Russel) builds his own instruments—both digital and physical—to explore the fluid boundary between rhythm and texture. Like nature itself, his music never truly repeats; each performance is a unique moment, and even his recorded works exist as singular, ever-shifting objects.
